OK, so here is the first sock finished. It's going to be too big for my friend so It will be for a very tall niece of mine. I really enjoyed knitting the fern pattern. The wool doesn't make it obvious in the photograph but when on a foot the texture and color work really well. I'll need to cast on for the second one quickly, before a different project catches my eye.
Welcome To The Fairground
I have been inspired by people who share their passions on their blogs. Like a visit to a country fair with it's many attractions
I hope my adventures with fiber, in all it's forms, will be of interest. Welcome to my fairground.

Socks
I'm on a learning curve when it comes to knitting socks. I have knit basic socks in the past but there are so many fabulous yarns and patterns now that it is an explosion of fashion for feet. Who would not want a pair of hand knit socks?
I'm currently working on a pair that use a maidenhair fern pattern. I still knit one sock at a time so I'll post a picture when the first one is completed.
